She currently lives in South Portland with her boyfriend Curtis, their chocolate lab Causeway (who LOVES to give kisses), and 2 cats, Oliver and Millie (who LOVE to cuddle). Although she's had a variety of different jobs over the years, Cheri found her calling when she entered the veterinary field in February of 2012.
The most rewarding part of her job is establishing relationships with the patients and their owners, and knowing deep down that we are doing the best for the health of each patient. The daily snuggles, smooches and licks are a plus too!

In Memoriam:
Sylvester (Silly), 1999-2015

Silly was adopted from the Animal Refuge League in 1999 and was an invaluable member of the SAH family until her passing in August 2015. Silly provided emotional support to clients, patients and staff members, and was always happy to settle herself in the lap of anyone in need of a dose of fuzzy purring love. Her loss is deeply felt by our entire team.

Pickle (now living with Dr. Gagner)

Pickle was dropped at the animal hospital by a good Samaritan who found him all by himself, underweight and covered in fleas, in an area where a fox had been eating cats. He was about five weeks old when he joined us and since his arrival he has plumped up nicely (we took care of the fleas, too)! As an adult Pickle developed some health issues and it was decided that he would be more likely to thrive in a home environment, so he is now living with Dr. Gagner!
